Student Work: Heifer International
Heifer International helps families around the world improve their situation through gifts of livestock and training. Assigned as part of a Visual Communications class, these brochures had only two requirements: one was to be a traditional tri-fold and the other a non-traditional format of choice.
My traditionally designed brochure features Heifer International's cornerstones, a mini-catalog of the various livestock gifts available, and a brief description of the 'living loan' concept.
The left panel features the same 'living loan' summary as the first execution, but you'll see on the right that I've broken down the process of giving in eight steps.
In the center of this giant brochure, I've mapped out areas of the world where Heifer has made a difference. In Cameroon, the women sing in the market square about Heifer International; a Peruvian rancher speaks fondly of his alpacas; because of Heifer, Nepalese women have a new, empowered role in society.
